Rochelle Dewar Graduated January 2008

The 12 months that I have spent at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy has been one of the best experiences in my life so far. I have learnt so many new skills and grown emotionally and confidently as well! The support and guidance the trainers at QSBT offered througout my time there was outstanding and their passion for the industry inspired me to put my best into the course and has helped me pursue my new love for the beauty therapy industry!

I will be ever grateful for the time all of the trainers at QSBT spent in providing the best possible learning environment for us and for the ongoing support and friendship they have offered along the way.

Lucielle Olsen Graduated January 2008

My time at QSBTH has completely changed my life around. It had been 12 years since I left school and I was a little nervous about studying and changing my entire career, but I can honestly say that the teachers at QSBT made it very easy to fit in, learn and become a part of the school. I have learnt so much about life, people, communication and have graduated with confidence looking ahead at an exciting career as a beauty therapist.

Kaitlyn Setch, Graduated June 2007.

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course and feel 100% confident that I am competent to use my knowledge and perform treatments in the beauty therapy industry."

Bella da Silva, Graduated January 2006

"My year at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy was such a wonderful and memorable one. I have never come across a school where the staff become so involved with the students; having time for any student at any given moment and where the staff are so wonderfully friendly and warm and have such patience at all times. Being a new immigrant I felt very apprehensive at the beginning, but everyone at the school accepted me with open arms and made me feel extremely welcome. I feel that I will always be part of QSB just as much as it will always be a great part of me. I thank you for all the wonderful guidance and training and I will really be proud to represent the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy wherever I go in the world."

Bronwyn Ferguson, Former Student

"The teachers were excellent. Each and every one of them made learning easy. They all were able to impart their knowledge to us and never made us feel inadequate. I would like to say to you that I would not have any hesitation recommending your course to any one wanting to work in the beauty industry as I received so much from this course and I don't mean just the qualifications. I made some wonderful new friends and that surprised me, as some of the students were younger than my children. They were just great."

Doctor Lyndell Kelly, MB, BS, FRACR.

"I am a medical specialist in the treatment of cancer and I work at the Queensland Radium Institute. I have been giving lectures to students at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy about skin cancer and the importance of their role in its recognition. I know of no other beauty school that employs or invites medical experts in a particular field to share their knowledge, and it is typical of the innovative management style of the institute. Factual, reliable information is given to students in an atmosphere of co-operation and encouragement."

Anna Gardner, Former Student.

"The Queensland School of Beauty Therapy is an organised and thorough training academy. The trainers are all very approachable and dedicated to all of the students. I loved my time here at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy and am very sad to be leaving, however feel more then ready to go out into the workforce."

Juvenna Paulger, Former Student.

"The Queensland School of Beauty Therapy gave me an opportunity to prove my skills to prospective employers. The college's reputation proceeds it and is well respected in the industry. It gives students a foot in the door and a chance to stand out from the crowd."

Natasha Carew, Graduated December 2007.

"In September 2006 I commenced a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy at the QSBT. In the same year I was also attending school full time as a year 11 student. My QSBT commitments required me to attend once a week (every Wednesday) for pratical experience as well as the completion of a number of assignments. At the time I commenced, I was currently studying six subjects at school, one of these subjects I was allowed to drop. Trying to balance both school and my commitments to the QSBT wasn't easy for me. At one point it was all a bit overwhelming and I did want to give up but I knew if I continued I would be qualified at the end of year 12. My course at the QSBT was a complete education in all the techniques of beauty therapy but it was also an enjoyable experience that was not only supported by the staff but also the Principal, Maria Bach. Now when I look back, I am so happy I decided to continue and not give up. After finishing, I had a short break to relax and have since found a full time position in this profession."

Marissa Warren, Operations Manager Re Natasha Carew, January 2008.

"We have found Natasha to be the most well presented therapist we have seen arrive for an interview in a long time. She was punctual and immaculately dressed. Having been a past student at the QSBT I was expecting a high standard of salon cleanliness and presentation at all times and Natasha exceeded my expectations. It is a pleasure to have Natasha as part of the Pure Indulgence Chermside team. She continues to grow as a therapist each and every day. She is always willing to learn and incorporate new skills. I found her to be easy to train with Pure Indulgence standards and treatment techniques. She always presents a professional image of a beauty therapist and of Pure Indulgence."

Laura Green, Graduated January 2009.

"It was obvious that the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy staff could provide me with the training and skills to become a Beauty Therapist and also assist me with employability skills, which would then help me gain a position and open doors to my professional life. The QSBT offers young girls the opportunity to learn Beauty Therapy skills prior to graduating from grade 12. I personally found juggling school work and Beauty Therapy studies quite rewarding and not that difficult, because when you are truly interested in a subject the workload is a challenge rather than a chore. Just three months ago I undertook 2 weeks work experience at the Palazzo Versace Day Spa, which led me to becoming a fulltime employee. An offer from a senior therapist at Versace, to expand my knowledge and experience, will now see me work at a 5 star Resort in the Cayman Islands during the winter months."
