Brendan Long, Salus Per Aquum Spa at Palazzo Versace

"The students we acquire through Maria Bach and the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy are of first class standard. Those we have utilised have all been well trained and work-ready. They display professionalism, have vast knowledge of beauty therapies and are capable of commencing work in five-star establishments."

Pimmada Chaiyada, Graduated 2010

“I was happy to study at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy. This school has become a second home to me because I am an overseas student and have no family here. I sometimes felt lonely but when I come to this school I have lovely friends in my class and nice, friendly teachers. Thank you to the teachers for spending time with me, always giving me good advice and being patient with me. Thank you Maria for always encouraging me.”

Sinead Browne, Graudated 2010

"I have enjoyed completing this course and I feel confident in all aspects of beauty. The teachers and students have a great relationship with each other and have made sure students try and succeed to their full potential."

Shannon Thompson, Graduated 2010

"I have really enjoyed the past ten months spent completing my Diploma of Beauty Therapy at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy. The teachers are always willing to help and are kind. I have formed some friendships in my class which I know will be strong in the future.  I would like to thank Maria and all of the trainers for guiding and supporting me through my time here."

Brooke Gibson, Graduated 2010

"My time at the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy has been a great experience. I have learnt a lot and am confident about entering the workforce with the knowledge and skills I have gained here. All the teachers have been wonderful and helpful throughout the year. I made some good friends here and will be sad to leave the school."

Natasha Carew, Graduated December 2007

"In September 2006 I commenced a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy at the QSBT. In the same year I was also attending school full time as a year 11 student. My QSBT commitments required me to attend once a week (every Wednesday) for pratical experience as well as the completion of a number of assignments. At the time I commenced, I was currently studying six subjects at school, one of these subjects I was allowed to drop. Trying to balance both school and my commitments to the QSBT wasn't easy for me. At one point it was all a bit overwhelming and I did want to give up but I knew if I continued I would be qualified at the end of year 12. My course at the QSBT was a complete education in all the techniques of beauty therapy but it was also an enjoyable experience that was not only supported by the staff but also the Principal, Maria Bach. Now when I look back, I am so happy I decided to continue and not give up. After finishing, I had a short break to relax and have since found a full time position in this profession."

Marissa Warren, Operations Manager Re Natasha Carew, January 2008

"We have found Natasha to be the most well presented therapist we have seen arrive for an interview in a long time. She was punctual and immaculately dressed. Having been a past student at the QSBT I was expecting a high standard of salon cleanliness and presentation at all times and Natasha exceeded my expectations. It is a pleasure to have Natasha as part of the Pure Indulgence Chermside team. She continues to grow as a therapist each and every day. She is always willing to learn and incorporate new skills. I found her to be easy to train with Pure Indulgence standards and treatment techniques. She always presents a professional image of a beauty therapist and of Pure Indulgence."

Laura Green, Graduated January 2009

"It was obvious that the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy staff could provide me with the training and skills to become a Beauty Therapist and also assist me with employability skills, which would then help me gain a position and open doors to my professional life. The QSBT offers young girls the opportunity to learn Beauty Therapy skills prior to graduating from grade 12. I personally found juggling school work and Beauty Therapy studies quite rewarding and not that difficult, because when you are truly interested in a subject the workload is a challenge rather than a chore. Just three months ago I undertook 2 weeks work experience at the Palazzo Versace Day Spa, which led me to becoming a fulltime employee. An offer from a senior therapist at Versace, to expand my knowledge and experience, will now see me work at a 5 star Resort in the Cayman Islands during the winter months."
