Maria Bach
Founder and Principal of the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy
An international beauty therapist, Maria has been dedicated to delivering excellent training to students for over 25 years. Maria completed her Beauty Therapy and Make-up Diploma in London, Italy and Australia. Her extensive knowledge and skills assured her of opportunities to study and work in some of Europe's most prestigious salons and resorts.
Maria's passion for beauty therapy led her to achieve the position of Principal of the Scuola Esthetica Moderna School of Beauty Therapy (SEM) in Brisbane, an Italian school affiliated with 46 other schools throughout Europe. She studied with therapists in Bologna as well as dermatologists and plastic surgeons in Rome and Modena, Italy.
In 1981, Maria opened The Queensland School of Beauty Therapy to inspire others and impart her knowledge and philosophies. Thousands of beauty therapists have enjoyed the advantage of first class training and gone on to successful careers. Maria is equally dedicated to nurturing a professional industry. She was responsible for the implementation of the Employers Association of Beauty Therapy which received a State and National beauty therapy award.
Maria is eloquent in her belief that preparation for the workforce is the key to a successful career. She works individually with each student in a Personal Development program that unlocks the life skills key to a fulfilling career.
Each dedicated professional employed by Maria has been personally chosen for their experience and aptitude for teaching. Every member of the teaching staff is required to be either a registered teacher, or to have successfully completed a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training and be associated with the national beauty therapy associations. Particular attention is paid to skin care, since Queensland has such a high incidence of sun damage and skin cancer.

Natasha Melenhorst
Natasha is a highly skilled beauty therapist with seven years industry experience. With comprehensive background in day spa therapy, including day spa management and a qualification in hot and cold stone therapy, Natasha excels in providing 5 star, exclusive treatments. Natasha is passionate and dedicated to sharing her vast beauty therapy knowledge with the students. With her great attention to detail and professional training with a leading international make-up company, she has had extensive experience in designing and applying specialised make-up for weddings and formal occasions.
Mandy Campbell
Mandy is an award winning beauty therapist and has exceptional skills in Business Management, Electrolysis, Intense Pulse Light Therapy, Micro-dermabrasion, advanced skin care and facial treatments. As well as teaching, Mandy is also the Correspondence Co-ordinator and offers distance education students the opportunity to experience first class training, support and tuition.
Joanne Flack
Joanne is a highly skilled beauty therapist who has been working in the beauty therapy industry for the past six years throughout salons in Brisbane. Joanne has an extensive background in advanced body treatments, facials, microdermabrasion and waxing. It is this knowledge that has kept her striving to continuously go above and beyond her clients' expectations and provide them with 5 star service. Joanne is now enjoying the experience of teaching students something she truly loves and excels at.
Alicia Doulman
Alicia has been in the beauty industry for seven years. She has worked for some of Australia's largest award winning salon chains. Her management and training roles have seen her nominated for many awards. She is highly skilled in IPL, waxing, microdermabrasion, spray tanning and other advanced treatments. Alicia has also completed several business courses which have led her to her passion in teaching.
Soni Pukallus
Soni is a past award winning student of the Queensland School of Beauty Therapy and she is delighted to be back in a teaching capacity. She has extensive experience from one of Australia's six star day spas and specialises in massage and other body treatments. Soni strives to pass on her knowledge and experience to her students and encourages them to enjoy the course as much as she did.
Susan Lynch
Susan has pursued a wonderfully rewarding career in the beauty industry for over 20 years, including owning and managing an award winning Day Spa. She has played a very active role in beauty therapy, and has abundant experience in management and counter promotion within multi-national cosmetic houses. Susan has a passion for electrolysis and instils strong practical and theoretical skills in our students.

Dr. Bill Collyer, who lectures in dermatological disorders, giving students a better understanding of skin disorders and diseases.
Dr. Maree Colosimo lectures on the awareness and recognition of cancer and skin cancer and the importance of early detection. Dr Colosimo is a leader in Oncology (cancer) at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital.
Dr. Peter Rhodes, from Brisbane Dietetic Services, lectures in diet and nutrition and the recognition and understanding of allergies and food intolerance.
Mrs. Therese Sorensen, an accounting assistant, lectures on the importance of keeping accurate records in business management and bookkeeping procedures.
Ms. Jasmine Pyke, a past student at the Queensland School of Beauty, graduated in 2001 taking with her 'The Most Outstanding Student' award. Since then she has gone on to owning and managing her own successful salon. She has strived with talent and passion in all areas of beauty therapy and specialises in cosmetic tatooing. Jasmine plays an active role in the industry and broadens our students knowledge in cosmetic tattoo pratical and theoretical study.
Mr. Byron Vodane is a colour implant specialist who lectures and demonstrates colour implanting of the eyebrows, eye line and the lip line.
